My Story

Lauren Sepe is a clinical nutritionist. She received a Master of Science from the University of Bridgeport (UB) in Connecticut and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. The UB Nutrition program is a functional medicine-based approach to health. Functional medicine looks at the root cause of each patient’s health concern, rather than simply treating the symptoms. In addition, Lauren completed an internship at The Kellman Wellness Center in New York City, under Dr. Raphael Kellman and she continues to work at the Kellman Wellness Center as their in-house nutritionist, providing adjunct nutritional services to his patients. Dr. Kellman is a widely respected physician, often considered a pioneer in the integrative and functional medicine field. In line with her training, Lauren is focused on an individualized, science-based, whole-body approach to optimal health and wellness.

Lauren also has a Bachelor of Science from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, as well as another Master of Science from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Further, she completed a certification as a Holistic Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and a certification as a Mind Body Eating Coach at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating in Boulder, Colorado. She is also a certified Pilates instructor.

Prior to becoming a nutritionist, Lauren spent nearly 18 years in the corporate world, working both in management consulting in Washington D.C. and for a number of investment banks in New York City. It was during this time that Lauren experienced health issues of her own. Although medical intervention did help to resolve her condition, she still suffered from a number of symptoms that affected her both physically, as well as emotional. Determined to feel better, Lauren focused on changing her diet and lifestyle and was able to fully resolve all of her symptoms. It was a life-changing moment which inspired her to go back to school and to start a whole new career, in the hopes of helping others restore their health.

Lauren lives in Windermere, Florida with her husband and 4 rescue cats. She also has 2 amazing stepsons. In her free time, she loves working out, spending time at the beach and is an avid traveler.
